How to Make Three Color Gradient in Canva

You are probably familiar with a two color gradient in Canva, which is what you use most of the time. You can actually add more than two colors. You can put three, four, or five colors into your gradient design.

Make Three Color Gradient in Canva

Pick the object

Select the object you want to change. I am going to apply a three color gradient to the background. Click the background and click Background color, or just click Color.

Add a new gradient

You will see gradient options at the bottom. We are not going to use that because we will create our own. Click Add a new color.

Select Gradient. Now you can add colors to it.

Choose and add colors

Before you add colors, I recommend picking a set that works well together for the gradient. If you do not know where to start, you can go to a website like uigradients.com to find really cool gradient colors that are attractive for your design. There are many different options that you can try, and you can also build a color palette in Canva to keep your tones consistent.

For example, I am going to use an Argon style gradient. I think it looks very attractive. It has four different colors.

Add them one by one. Copy the first color code and paste it into the first section. Move on to the second color and do the same thing.

For the third section, click the button to add another gradient color and paste the color code again. Finally, add the last color. There you go.

Adjust orientation and type

You can change the orientation of the gradient color or the type of gradient that you want to use. I think this looks really cool and very attractive once you tweak the direction and spread. If your design includes photos, you can also adjust color in Canva images to match your gradient.
