How to Turn Video Black and White Monochrome in Canva

I'm going to show you how you can turn a video in Canva to be black and white or monochrome, and here's how you can do that. The video is colorful to start with.
Turn Video Black and White Monochrome in Canva
Insert a video
- Insert a video into your Canva document.
- You can insert a video from the Canva stock library, or upload a video from your computer into Canva and insert it into your document.
- Put it in your document and make it a little bit bigger if you want.

Apply the monochrome filters in Canva
- Click Edit.
- Go to Filters and click See all.
- At the very bottom you have two options: Grayscale and Straight.
- I go with Straight because it's a lot more contrast.

Limitations and intensity
- There are only two presets available, and there is no option to modify the strength or the level of the color.
- You can change intensity, but even that is very limited.

Per-clip filters in Canva
- The effect is unique, and every clip in your Canva document can have different filters.
- If one video consumes half of the space and another video consumes half the space, you can make one black and white and the other normal.
- Click None on a clip to remove the filter.

Final Thoughts
That's basically it. It's just applying the effect to the video. That's how you can turn a normal colorful video into black and white in Canva.
